Stamford Travel Baseball
Summer 2027
Summer is when travel baseball opens up: more game days, a bigger practice schedule and the championship tournament trails, after the Little League regular season and school seasons end.
Final fees, rosters and detailed schedules are subject to confirmation.
What changes in summer
- Expanded game and practice opportunities after the Little League regular season.
- Younger summer rosters may be combined or reconfigured around Little League All-Star commitments.
- Every summer team at 8U–12U is planned to have a competitive schedule and at least six Connecticut Baseball Academy sessions.
- For older players, middle school and high school schedules shape summer start dates.
Summer by age group
8U Navy
The Cal Ripken 8U All-Star tournament trail: local pool play, the Connecticut state tournament and potentially New England regional play. A substantial summer commitment.
Advancement depends on results. Past state success doesn't guarantee advancement in 2027.
8U – 10U
More game days and a larger practice schedule, including at least six sessions with Connecticut Baseball Academy. Rosters may differ from spring because of Little League All-Stars.
11U – 12U
Competitive games and at least six Academy practices. Rosters may change to fit Little League All-Star selections.
12U GAP team
Brings together players who have aged out of Little League but aren't ready for the full-size field, plus other eligible 12-year-olds. Plays the Cal Ripken 12U All-Star trail, with a potential World Series in Branson, Missouri, subject to qualification.
13U
Competitive games and tournaments, highlighted by the Babe Ruth 13U trail: the Connecticut State Tournament, potentially New England Regionals and potentially the World Series.
14U
The main 14U offering: travel games and the Babe Ruth 14U trail (Connecticut states, with possible regional and World Series advancement), with professional coaching and Academy practices.
15U – 18U
Most older players focus on high school baseball in spring, so these teams start after the school season. Babe Ruth Baseball of Stamford offers three paths: the college-showcase 16U Thunder, a traditional 15U/16U travel team and the selective 18U Thunder. See find the right fit.
