Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of www.stamfordtravelbaseball.com (the "Site") and the registration, email, and text messaging services provided by Stamford Travel Baseball ("STB," "we," "us," or "our") (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. SMS Terms

Program name: Stamford Travel Baseball Alerts

Program description: When you opt in, STB sends text messages to parents, guardians, and players about tryouts, registration, practices, games, schedule changes, events, and team and organization news. We do not send marketing messages on behalf of other companies.

How you opt in: You opt in by providing your mobile number and checking the text message consent box on an STB registration, tryout, or subscription form, or by texting START to the STB number. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of registration or purchase. After you opt in, you will receive a confirmation text.

Message frequency varies, typically more often around tryouts and events.
Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your plan.
To opt out: You can cancel the text message service at any time. Just reply STOP to any STB text. You will receive one confirmation message, and after that you will no longer receive text messages from us. To rejoin, reply START.
For help: If you are experiencing issues, reply HELP to any STB text, or email info@stamfordtravelbaseball.com.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Text messages may be delivered by SMS, MMS, or RCS depending on your device and carrier.

If you change or deactivate your mobile number, please reply STOP from that number or let us know, so messages are not sent to the number's new owner.

See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

2. Email communications

By registering or subscribing, you agree to receive email from STB about our programs. You can manage which categories you receive, or unsubscribe, using the link in any email. Transactional messages such as registration and payment confirmations may still be sent.

3. Accounts and registration

You must be a parent or legal guardian, or a player 18 or older, to create an account or register a player.
You agree to provide accurate information, including the player's date of birth, and to keep it up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account.
Registration or tryout participation does not guarantee placement on a team. Team selections are made by STB at its discretion.

4. Fees and payments

Tryout, registration, and program fees are listed on the Site at the time of registration. Payments are processed by third-party providers (such as Zeffy) under their own terms. Refunds, if any, follow the refund policy stated for each program.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Services, including by submitting false information, accessing other people's accounts or data, interfering with the Site's operation, or using the Services for any unlawful purpose.

6. Content

Site content, including logos, schedules, and photos, belongs to STB or its licensors. You may view and share it for personal, non-commercial purposes related to our programs.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." Schedules and information may change, and we do not guarantee that the Site or messages will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, STB and its volunteers, coaches, and board members are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Participation in baseball activities is governed by separate waivers and program agreements.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
